This policy concerns your information as a user of the Service. The elected officials scored within Politiparty are public figures whose activity comes from public records; that public data is not covered by this policy.

• Account information — your email address and a password when you register. Passwords are handled securely by our backend and are never stored by us in plain text.
• Profile information — an optional display handle you choose.
• Gameplay information — the lineups you build and any leagues you create or join.
• Communications — information you provide when you contact us.

• Usage and device data — such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected through server logs to operate and secure the Service.
• Cookies — we use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

• to authenticate you and keep your account secure;
• to operate gameplay — building lineups, computing scores, and showing leaderboards;

We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your signed-in session and to operate core functionality. Because these cookies are essential, the Service may not function properly if you disable them. We do not use cookies for advertising.

The Service includes public leaderboards. Your chosen display handle and the lineups associated with it may be visible to other users and to the public. Your email address is never shown publicly. If you do not choose a handle, a non-identifying placeholder is displayed instead.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account as described below.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure password hashing performed by our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of the EEA and UK have rights under the GDPR; California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
